Everything went swimmingly at MDA yesterday. We were even able to start chemo a few minutes early. Hubs was with me, Daddy, Brother & my aunt Becky joined and I had a surprise visit from a childhood friend, Laura Cochran Savage. Mom was a bit jealous to miss the party! I grabbed lunch with Daddy & Brother after.
Hubs & I are going to retreat to the Bay this weekend with our pups. It’ll be a welcome respite.
Next week chemo is super early, but that means we’ll get to skip rush hour traffic & I’ll be able to go into the office for at least a bit. My job has been wonderfully gracious about everything. I’m so glad when I can actually be there & pull my weight.
Specific prayer requests
- Continued peace.
- Complete healing.
- Continued general health. If I can stay healthy then I can maintain the chemo schedule & likely have surgery this year. That would leave just radiation in 2016 and I could possibly wrap it all up in time for my next birthday.
- Healing for Clark. He’s been having some intestinal issues and while I’ve been happy for the opportunity to repay his many kindness as he’s cared for me, we’d rather him feel great! He’s on meds and is improving. Praise God!
- Continued joy. I’ve been blown away at what a season of joy this has been even in the midst of the yucky.
- Future Baby H.
- Blessings for my team at MDA. Every single person I encounter there is excellent.
- God’s glory.
