I believe strongly in the power of love, laughter and prayer. So that’s what I’d like to ask from you. As we prepare for this journey my prayers are: 1. Continued peace. 2. Focused mind in the next few days so I can create a plan at work so that any absence of mine will not be felt too acutely by my QUG family. 3. For the medical team that I will be working with – sharp minds, skilled & healing hands. That they will be blessed with supernatural wisdom & insight as they create my treatment plan & that I can be a blessing to them. 4. Healing. 5. Peace over Clark & my family’s hearts. 6. For a path to adding a child to our family to be available once we get through this fight. 7. That God’s grace would be evident and that He will be glorified.
I’m starting this blog as a way to keep loved ones informed as I battle breast cancer. However, breast cancer is just a part of my life. It doesn’t get to define me or take over my whole life. If I have to talk all breast cancer all the time, I’ll be going from MD Anderson to Menninger Clinic faster than the speed of light! So, walk with me on this journey, cry with me sometimes, but please, please, please for the love of all things holy, enjoy the silly with me, celebrate the excellent, and focus on the positive!
