It’s been a bit of a roller coaster trying to get in for my mastectomy. The first surgery was postponed because of the lung inflammation. Then I was all set for surgery on Friday, Nov 13, but a finding on my last CT scan had us postponing again to investigate further. Now, at last, WE ARE FINALLY READY FOR SURGERY! Mañana is eviction day for the Chunk! I’ll check in for surgery tomorrow morning. It should last approximately 4 hours. I’ll stay overnight & be released Thursday morning.
I’d appreciate prayers for the following:
- That they are able to use an anesthesia block on me (way over simplified, but it’s kinda like an epidural & would be easier on my body (especially, my lungs) than being put fully under.)
- That every cell of cancer is removed from my body
- For my medical team to have sharp, clear minds and steady hands, particularly Dr. Ames and his PA, Kerith
- For my family to be confident, at peace & supernaturally worry-free while I’m in surgery.
