So sorry – been busy LIVING!
Quick update since last we spoke. The stereotactic radiosurgery to C7 & T12 in March went swimmingly well. I had an MRI in June and those 2 spots appeared stable. Unfortunately, my PET scan that month revealed increased metabolic activity at L4. My team had seen the spot before, but because it looked different than the other 2 spots and did not have any metabolic activity associated with it on previous scans we believed it was related to basic wear & tear and not cancer. However, the increased metabolic activity in that area on the June scan lead us to believe that it was most likely cancer. No biggie. I’d still refer to my disease as “metastatic light.” My team advised stereotactic radiosurgery to the spot on L4 and I was able to have that last month. I’ll have a PET scan at the beginning of Sept & an MRI mid-October. Our prayer is that everything will look stable.
Now onto the fun stuff! Hubs and I were able to go to Alaska with our dear friends Victoria & Martin the first week of July. The trip was PHENOMENAL! Weather was perfect. Company was great. Activities were loads of fun. Scenery was amazing. Here are a few of my favorite pics from the trip.
You are amazing, Shannon! I thank God for you and your strong faith and wonderful attitude! What a great example for all of us to follow!
